MagicBascomb's Bio

Bascomb Grecian's life in magic began at sixteen, when he walked into the Magic Castle in Hollywood as a member of the Junior Magicians Society. At eighteen he was working as an assistant to Ed Alonzo.

His performing résumé runs from festivals to trade show floors to dining rooms. He performed at the 1984 Olympic Arts Festival, and worked the National Kitchen & Bath Show for DuPont, drawing crowds around Corian® with close-up magic.

Over the years he has performed in more than thirty restaurants — roughly five years at Don's Steakhouse in Redding, more than six years at Pio Loco, along with Rivers Restaurant in Redding, The Barn in Tustin, and the Newport Rib Company — as well as at the Magic Castle itself. In the mid-1990s he produced and performed stage shows opening for acts from the 1950s.

Along the way he has shared stages, tables and sessions with Diana Zimmerman, Dirk Arthur, Peter Pit, Ron Gieseke, Scott Tokar, David Doyle, Paul Harris, Paul Vigil, Jason Scott, Chris Kenner (David Copperfield's manager and a genuine nice person), Chris Randall, Keith Lack, Mark Kalin and Joey Burton.
